We build strong connections between students, staff, families and the wider community through empathy, respect and an open-minded, non-judgmental approach. We respond to challenging behaviour with calmness, humour and positivity rather than anger, helping students regulate their emotions and break negative cycles. We combine traditional GCSEs and BTEC qualifications with vocational learning, practical skills and real work experience, giving students more opportunities to discover their strengths and future career paths. Through strong partnerships with local businesses, personalised careers guidance and high but achievable expectations, we help every student build confidence and prepare for life beyond school. Our ambition goes beyond academic achievement. We focus on wellbeing, personal growth and meaningful opportunities, empowering students to believe in themselves and move confidently into employment, further education or training.

At Stone Soup Academy, our commitment to young people doesn't end when they leave. We believe that strong, trusting relationships are essential to helping students reconnect with education, develop confidence and prepare for independent life. Our dedicated Engagement Team works alongside teachers to provide personalised support, responding quickly to challenges and building meaningful relationships with every student.

Through regular contact, holiday activities, drop-in sessions, our Pastoral Sixth Form and the Stone Soup Award, we help former students navigate their next steps into further education, training and employment.We understand that every young person's journey is different and that some need more time and guidance to become independent.The result is a lasting sense of belonging, security and trust. Students know they have a supportive community they can return to, giving them the confidence to face new challenges and build their futures.
